SALES and BROKERAGE:

In his twenties, he specialized in selling out new developments on contract. This led to his own brokerage at age 24. Although he sold that firm some time ago, he has been a consistent "match maker" between vendors and buyers ever since.

DEVELOPMENT and MANAGEMENT:

Along with his three partners, he developed and managed three major townhouse complexes, incorporating innovative low cost features which kept vacancies to a minimum.

PURCHASER:

Eclectic in his taste for real estate, Norm has pursued his love of property by purchasing on three continents. His portfolio has included commercial land and buildings, residences for renovation, developmental land, heritage structures and agricultural holdings. His wife claims he has never seen a property for which he didn't have a vision.

HERITAGE RESTORATION:

Norm and his wife have the restoration of two national and one regional heritage sites to their credit. Creativity, of financing and of usage, were the challenges.

CONSULTING & SPEAKING:

In this area, Norm combines his two loves; real estate and speaking/consulting. His speaking audiences include dozens of real estate companies in the USA, Canada and New Zealand; international real estate brokerages; and real estate associations at local, regional and national levels. In his consulting sessions he has had major impact on a broad range of clients such as; an American facilities firm facing major change, a resort developer in Jamaica, time-share marketers in Mexico, small independent brokerages trying to survive against "the big players", helping independents select a "big player" to join, regional real estate brokerages seeking innovative ways to survive the recession, auctioneers moving into the real estate side of their business, farmers seeking innovative revenue sources from their properties and non-traditional legal arrangements for land use. Norm frequently works with individual creative real estate sales people and brokers who want to stay on the cutting edge of technology and methodology.
